Subject: Bringing digital storytime to public libraries in Estonia
Dear Steyn,
Thank you for reaching out and introducing The Reading
Corner. It is wonderful to learn about your mission to bring the magic of
storytelling to children across Europe.
We have already shared your proposal and additional
details with all Estonian county libraries, larger public libraries, the
Estonian Children's Literature Centre, and the National Library of Estonia.
County libraries in Estonia play a central role in
coordinating public library services, including content acquisition, which
makes them key partners in such initiatives.
As of now, there have been no indications of interest
from these libraries. The current lack of interest from libraries may be
related to the budget cuts for acquisitions planned for the coming year.
Public libraries undoubtedly consider the interests and needs of their
young readers. As they review their acquisition strategies, their interest in
your platform may still emerge.
However, we have suggested the possibility of a
virtual meeting in January to provide an opportunity for libraries to learn
more about your platform. Should there be any expressions of interest, I will
contact you again in January to agree on a suitable time for this meeting.
Thank you again for your proposal, and we appreciate
your commitment to enhancing children's access to storytelling through
libraries.
Kind regards,
Ülle Talihärm
